So I watched a YouTube video of the 338i M sport and it said that the seats weren't leather. So what are they??? And are they free or extra???? I don't want black seats because they get hot. And I also don't want leather because it's so expensive and it breaks down faster. I feel like the seats that the mentioned were perfect. They looked nice and almost perfect. Please help.

You wouldn't believe the push-back from the dealer. They kept saying that it couldn't be done, couldn't be done, could NOT HAPPEN. Apparently, BMW will make my car in June sometime and they've just about bought all the components for MY12s they are gonna buy.

Finally, I got them to change the order.

Personally, in Mass, we pay excise taxes based on both the model year and the base price of a car. If you buy the next model year in the year before it's "current" you pay more in excise tax. With the minor MY13 changes, I am happy I am getting a MY12 -- and break on excise.

probably alcantara. not available in USA.

only options Americans have are leather and fake leather(leatherette).

ON the issue of pricing; once the new standard items are accounted for, 328i prices have gone up about $550, and 335i only about $100.

The price increase seems high for the 328i, but power seats are now standard along with dimming mirrors and garage door opener.
Just the power seats alone used to cost a big over $900.
The 328i price increase isn't so bad when you consider some costly options are now standard.

It's easy. Take 92% of the base price MSRP of the car, and then 91% of any options/packages MSRP.

If by "life span" you mean 'production span' then yes. July forward will be 2013MY.

So did your dealer get their actual allocations and did they place it in the order bank? Or did you just give your specs to your dealer? My dealer did not get allocations as of yesterday though I have my order with them..let us know
