The guy from the cutomer service told me that it's in cars build after july 1st. They are MY 2013 and should get the new system.
So I am pretty sure that it depends on when your car will actually be build.

After all, let's hope that the information given by Munich is right! You all know, sometimes we here in the forum are better informed then the salesguys!

Would BMW be as cynical as to forget to mention this to stop people cancelling and reordering for a July build? No, I'm sure they wouldn't.

I'd love to hear what E90fleet thinks...

Danke! Ich habe in Berlin für ein und ein halb jahre gewohnt und habe eine Deutsche Freundin . Aber ich spreche besser als ich schreiben kann.

I suspect then that my bimmer will just about miss the July 1st build date. I'll ask my dealer shortly but I need the car by the end of July so wouldn't anyway want it to be delayed.

Also, to come back to your question.. my system can read the text messages but I am unable to write or dictate them. I have no idea if this is something because it's the '12 version of the nav instead of the one shown in this thread, or because my phone maybe doesn't allow it.

One thing you can do with the Apps, btw, is send twitter and FB messages that you pre-programmed into the BMW ConnectedDrive App. When you're driving, you can just select one of the messages, which can actually include certain variables to say what the temperature is, or where you are driving at that time.

I guess it's probably better like this.. if I could actually text and/or email, it would probably mean an increased chance of getting into an accident, even when dictating the message by voice (you're still going to read what you wrote).

Looks awesome & its a good thing I'm broke b/c I would be a little upset if I just bought a new F30 and BMW released an upgraded NAV system 3 months down the road..... Truth of the matter is that no1 should be surprised by this, when the E92 M3 came out in '07 it had the old version of iDrive & then in '09 (I know, 2 years is VERY different than 3 months) BMW went & released iDrive Gen. II and it was a completely different system (more user friendly, it actually worked, etc.).

Gotta have the same approach w/ everything, it's great and all being the VERY first person to have the new car on the block, but it's not gonna matter when 3-6 months later your neighbor gets the same car but his has some updates + all the bugs are worked out.

I might complain to BMWNA's Doorstep, considering its only a 20 min drive from my place. that's I have a 2013, that they are making their 2013s have the new Nav upgrade.
I really hope they would upgrade my f25 for free.
