Today I tried for the first time the timer to set the ventilation to come on automatically to cool the car while parked. It worked great, and will be even better when it's possible to do this from the iPhone app.

Is this a standard feature? I only have standard idrive so do you think I'll have it?

Yup I have it on my non-nav standard iDrive.. Not sure if you can do it on your iPhone thought... I think you need BMW apps for that.

I have it on it my standard iDrive. It's under "settings" > "climate". You can choose up to two separate times within 24 hrs on which the system will switch in for 30 minutes.
