BMW released F30 M-Sport pricing in AUS

It seems that BMW has finally or is finally releasing worldwide pricing on the M-Sport package for the F30.

BMW Australia has officially released the price for our part of the world. The F30 328i price without various taxes, it is AUD$4963.63. With taxes - and there are 2, yes two taxes, it blows out to a whopping AUD$7100.00.

Then again the cost of BMWs here in Australia have been blown out of proportion for decades. Nothing new there for us, although overall the cost has come down somewhat.

In addition, it seems that at this point in time, at least for Australia, the M-Sport cars will commence production in August 2012, not July as first suggested. BMW Australia have further acknowledged that there in fact IS a shortage of N20 engines, due to its very high demand and it being used in more and more models.

Interesting.....

Do you have a weblink? I've checked on the BMW Aus website and couldn't find any mention of it anywhere.

I've had a deposit with my dealer since March for an M-Sport so am itching to get it spec'd and ordered!

Sounds right, the pricing is more or less the same I got from my local distributor abt 1 mth ago.
As for Aug 2012, SA made cars have MY changeover at 8/2012 so that's why the 1st batch for Oz will be 8/2012.

No web link. Call from dealer reading bulletin straight from head office. I expect that due to the manner in which car prices are listed on manufacturers' websites in Australia, M-Sport price, like all other options won't be included. Just the base price plus on road costs, which do not relate to real life prices anyway.

Some of the carbon fibre stuff only available in Sept. But the black grills and carbon fibre mirror caps should be here already.. should have been released the same time F30 was launched.

Anyone got any links on m performance parts pricing???

Yes, its one month later tahn the German factories due to the time it takes the engines to come down from Germany.

The AUD price is almost at parity with the USD. $5K USD for the M-Sport package seems pretty steep.

Keep in mind that conversion rate is not the only factor in pricing, sales volume is also a major factor. That's why smaller markets pay WAY MORE for BMWs than we do here in the US. I would still expect the US M-Sport package price to be somewhere between $2,500-$3,000.

Have you seen the bulletin? I have, my order has been finally made official, so, no, it's not dealer blabber. I't's finally here, for Australia at least. Hence the topic title.

Just spoke to my dealer here in Canada and he's got no clue about the M Sport package. He's like there's no info and most probably gonna have to wait till June/July.

The wait still continues...

I doubt the M-Sport package would be that low. MSRP for the Sport line package is $2,500 in the US. I read yesterday that the M-Sport package will include better brakes, so that alone will push up the price. With all of the "extras" compared to the Sport line, I expect the M-Sport package to be at least $1,000 more than Sport line. There is no way it would be the same price.

You better hope they even offer it on the 328i in the US, I can see BMW NA playing games as usual and trying to push people to the 335i if they want this...It will certainly be more than $3K though

You're right....I was expecting the M-Sport price to be IN ADDITION TO the Sport Line package price. Stand-alone, I would expect it to be around $4,500-$5,000.
