BMW Team USA Incentive Drive

I signed up for the Incentive drive program to receive the 1k rebate towards a purchase. The dealership rep thats been working with me says it doesnt apply to ordering cars only to existing inventory.

I have a feeling he is full of shit because he will lose out on his commission with this discount. Is there any fine print saying this rebate does not include orders?

Thanks

He's full of crap, but it does say it doesn't apply to cars ALREADY ordered, but that seems to be flexible too.

The offer is valid from April 17, 2012 through October 31, 2012 on the lease or purchase of all eligible models except 2012 3 Series xDrive Sedans. The allowance on 2012 3 Series xDrive Sedans is valid until January 2, 2013. Offer may be redeemed at an authorized BMW Center for Stateside (U.S.) delivery only and cannot be used for European delivery. Offer not valid for vehicles delivered prior to event attendance or customer orders placed prior to event attendance. This offer may only be combined with certain eligible offers available at the time of delivery. Offer cannot be used for tax, title, registration, destination or other dealership fees. Some restrictions apply; see an authorized BMW center for details.

TrueBlue you are unfortunately incorrect. BMW Financial changed the incentive THIS WEEK. From now on it only applies to dealer inventory; and they are strict.

I had my CA submit the paperwork regardless to BMW and they denied it. You have to pick one from the lot.

Since the dealer nearest to me has no inventory, how does that work?

Hmm that's strange. The dealership near me has tons of 2012 3-series on their lot alone. You might have to drive around and pick from other dealers.

Meh seems to me the dealer could requisition one the way u want it and pretend u bought it off the lot. Your dealer isn't trying hard enough for u.

This is exactly what my dealer did for me.

Yeah, I noticed that searching around the state for inventory to check out.

Fields is the only Central Florida dealer. Every allocation for the forseeable future and every one coming off their trucks is spoken for.

I looked a little outside the area for a better deal, but couldn't find anything worth sacrificing the local connection.

Where does it say that? It must be in writing somewhere or its not dependable. The fine print posted above doesnt mention anything about orders. Is there anyone i can call? Does BMW have some kind of support for this as i cant trust my dealer.

Lets say its true. Whats stopping me from having my friend order what i want then canceling it which puts the car in inventory. Than i show up and buy it. Either BMW is completely retarded or im missing something.

Don't go to Fields. I used to live near Orlando. I showed up to Fields with my checkbook ready in a 650i BMW and not one person approached me for help. I got in my car and left. It's worth driving 2 hours south for premium service at Braman in my opinion.

If that's true about lot cars only, that SUCKS!

I want to know where the incentives are for current BMW owners.

Audi has incentives for it's current Audi owners, and they have a "conquest" program good for about $1000.

When I got my 135i BMW had a $750 incentive for current leasees.

Just picked my car up Thursday afternoon...

What you say about inventory is true, BUT when we were searching for my car we found that locating one that was reasonably local and had the options I wanted severely limited our choices. When my CA put in my search parameters the first time we found no cars in Texas that met my criteria, and only three cars in the country that even came close. By expanding my wish list we were able to find my car, but it took some time with my husband and I sitting with our CA and saying "yea" or "nay" to what was available in the state.

In my experience a lot of what was out there was base model without many of the options I wanted. Since I wanted dark paint (black, blue, or gray) and a light interior (oyster or beige) and wood trim was non-negotiable, that eliminated a ton of cars right off the bat. In the end, I was able to get almost everything I wanted by settling for halogen instead of xenon.

I ended up sending the manager an email and he took his bullshit back. I'll be making the order $500 under invoice for my 335i

Note that I received the discount before I ordered the car. They may not honor the discount if you purchased the car before you receive the incentive. Dealers are always going to bullshit you to save them money. Do research show them you're knowledgeable and there bullshit doesn't work.

Excellent. I never trust the salesman. I'm pretty sure also that BMW financial has nothing to do with this Drive for Team USA event.

Is it safe to assume that you negotiated for $500 over invoice and then applied the Incentive, netting $500 under?

Do you think I can push for the incentive even if I didn't participate in the event? I signed up but couldn't go! :P

I was at a dealership yesterday and the CA started by offering me invoice +600 on a 328i. He then advised me to participate in the Team USA event at the end of the month, after which I could order a 328i and get $1000 off MSRP. This is effectively 400 under MSRP, but I have to wait 2-3 months to pop the cherry

I signed up for the event for a month ago and wasn't able to make it.
I wish I would have known that I would get $1000 for it, or I would have made SURE to make it. SO, I signed up again, but it's for the middle of July.
I'll be ordering sometime in June, early June.

I haven't asked my dealer yet, but does any KNOW if I can apply the discount after I've ordered but not pick the car up until September?

Also, how come no current BMW owner loyalty? I know sales are good, but if they want to keep it that way, hey, some incentive would be good.
