If yes, did you have snow tires at the time? How did it behave?

I have driven an M3 in the snow with Blizzaks. It does fine. The only issue is getting through significant unplowed snow, especially going up hill - like my driveway. Otherwise it is great fun.

It should not be much different than your 335i. They're both RWD (unless you had xdrive)

Nop, my 335i was RWD, but even with snow tires a small hill was lots of work, but the 335i was not 50 / 50 weight distribution, just wonder, as the 328i is lighter and has near to perfect weight distribution if that will make any difference on the snow.

No difference.
Get the best snow/ice tires you can, higher aspect ration and less wide helps (the thinner tires "cut" through the snow and the wider float.)

Since we're on the subject what is suggested for a 328. I'm assuming a 17 inch wheel could be used.

would like to refresh this thread. . .

With fall/winter not too far away, looking to get some rims/tires now for my 335i--M-Sport w/ 18's. Is there a standard size/offset needed for the f30? for brake clearance, etc?

I've read in some posts that the e90 rims will not fit F30 hubs, etc. If that is the case, what WILL fit?

I really don't feel like spending $2k just for a set of OEM BMW rims and I imagine some aftermarket companies out there are making wheels that will fit fine.

Also, what are the best winter sport tires to run from Oct-Mar. We get very little snow down here in the mid-atlantic near NC, but don't want to get caught unprepared. Also, the tire material needs to be more pliable under cold temps, no? another reason to go w/ dedicated snow tires. Just rather be safe than sorry.

Any help would be appreciated

I have a '13 335i xDrive M Sport on order and will be running 17 x 8 Rial Salerno w/ Blizzaks for winter (Via Tire Rack). Here is a pic of a set on an E90

Had blizaaks on my 2007 328i RWD. Will have to consider snows on my 2013 328i. We are having a drought in the Midwest right now so perhaps minimal snow. I used my stock wherls last time and I'm probably looking at doing the same with some winter Pirelli RFTs same size as my ZSL sport wheels.
