I was going to make a comment about the woman who hit you, then I read that she was driving a grand marquis...

So she's either my grandmother in which case you better not have yelled at her, she can't see well... or she's not my grandmother, in which case driving a grand marquis is punishment enough...

Long story short, this day in age you lucky she isn't suing you for putting your bumper in the way of her car, I mean you own a bimmer so you can share the millions of dollars u have...

smile and remember you don't look at the bumper when your driving (thats BS, I would not smile until my car was fixed and even then I wouldn't be happy cause its been painted)

Sorry dude, goodluck! hopefully its not as much of a pain to match the paint as it is on my 2010 a8L metallic blue, they can't seem to match the flake in it...

I crashed my 2002 5 series about 1 week after I got it, went through a width restriction and damaged both doors. At least you had someone to blame

I feel your pain brother.

One week after getting my 2010 328i, I was backing out of a parking space at Target when I noticed the girl opposite me start backing out of her space. I stopped......she still didn't see me. I LAID INTO my horn....she kept coming. Told my wife to brace for impact.

Busted tail light and damage to the body.

Even though I wasn't moving at all, insurance marks parking lot incidents as co-liability so I was going to be on the hook for my car....and the girl told the cop some BS so the incident report was wrong.

Fortunately, some cool guy came up to me, said he saw the whole thing happen, and gave me his cell # so that I could pass it on to the insurance company. I ended up having to pay nothing.

But yeah.....still pissed my brand new car had replacement parts and paint.

Any decent body shop can match it perfectly, good as new. Pretty sure factory paint is available to them so there is no excuse for it not to match.

Curse of the early adopter, not having spare parts available. Hope your car gets fixed soon.

They can get anything. The car is new enough that it shouldn't be an issue. I just had 10 year old bumpers painted in original factory paint.... Not good. Apparently paint doesn't come in a "10 year fade" version...

could have been worse. could have pushed you into a dodge ram and you could have had front and rear damage. take it to one of those quick body shops have them do some repairs on it while you wait the month. how bad is it?

Well they took the bumper off so the plastic protector or the absorption panel was all broken so they will need to order that too.
