This is a 4 minute clip that explains the US budget dilemma. We hear about our country's debt problems all of the time on the news, but rarely is the problem put into this context.

It is presented by an Accountant using the 2012 budget.

His explanation is clear and concise and a little frightening.

This is not about democrats vs republicans, but rather the fact that our system is broken and regardless of the team you are on it is difficult to deny that our country is heading down the road to financial ruin.

Well that's pretty straight forward. It looks like you kids are in for a rough ride for the next several years. Me, sorry to say won't be around to see how you do. But whatever it is, SAVE our Country. Left or right wing, we all need to get together and quit this 50/50 split

Bread and circuses, irresistible to the politicians and leadership of a nation on the way down.

We have to not only stop the spending, we have to cut our spending. No more talk about "reducing the deficit" when in reality they are talking about slowing (not stopping, not reversing) the rate of growth of the deficit.

Raising taxes/revenue only delays the certain crash. It's the solution fronted by those who never want the party to end.

To deny that spending more than you have is ruinous is mind-boggling. Cut now, cut deep, when we come out the other side we will be a healthier nation.
