Vinyl would be barf I agree. I mean a real carbon overlay. I've seen them aftermarket. No vinyl for me! No wrap of any kind! If I cant find carbon then I will do black paint. Shiny, black paint.

Fair enough. I can't imagine how you would do a real carbon fiber overlay on the roof. I've seen a roof removed on an E46 to add a full aftermarket CF roof and the process looked BRUTAL. The end result was nice, but there were definitely some moments along the way where I thought it might not turn out as expected.
