6 weeks is an early estimate they usually quote 2-3 months!

I dont think its possible for a SA build to be delivered in 8 weeks.

ArkGroot and I cars were built in Germany.

Mine was built in SA and now I have 9 weeks waiting and the car has 3 weeks in the port waiting for tansport

335i + SA = very long wait

Took me 11 weeks for a German built 335i so should be a little longer for SA build

Yeah, the window they usually give is 4-6 weeks, 6-8 if you order MT (328i). The production of my car was probably the fastest part about this entire thing...Order processed-production completed was faster than my car reaching it's destination. Hell, it got to port from Bremerhaven faster than it's gone from Georgia to my dealership in South Florida...Going on 14 days with it being in the U.S. and it's still not here...If they left it on the ship, It'd be back in Germany by now.

I'm a very patient person, but the fact that it's been in the U.S. for 2 weeks and is still not here kind of irks me...

That does not sound right. My car docked in brunswick on 05/02 and got to pembroke pines, FL on 05/09. Check with your CA to see what date its scheduled for to be on the truck.

The last time I heard from my CA, I was told that it could be here in two days, or in a week. And if my memory serves me correctly, that was exactly a week ago.

So far I have found 2 things that I don't like.

I don't like comfort mode over 80mph but I simply switch to sport.

Is there a way to turn off the auto dim rear view? its hard to tell if a cop is pacing because all the headlights look similar.

other than that the car is great and I am still learning my way around it. I went and bought a 160GB iPod last night and dumped my entire collection on it.

So if you order a 328I (east coast drop off), I would look for it to take about 2 months +/- a week. That way if it gets in sooner great, but if more then 9 weeks that's bad.

So I called up my dealership and it turns out that my car has been stuck in customs this entire time. They said that there are so many cars coming in that the customs office is being overwhelmed. I don't know what the process is for clearing a car through, but I guess mine has been stuck in it for 3 weeks.

It got in on the 16th not 15th. Got windows tinted and picked it up 10 AM on the 18th. My wife sure likes it but it's not for her

. She has an 2005 X5 that only has just over 20K miles on it, (her car looks new) so she's not ready for a new BMW yet. I did tell her, she can get a new one any time she in the mood.
