oil cooler

     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Do all the lines have the oil cooler (passenger side behind the lower inlet - by the fog light) or just the sport line?

Only the sportline has an oil cooler, IIRC. However, at least the earlier iteration of the car ran hot ob the track even with the cooler. My expectation is that the F30 will do so as well; turbos need a lot of cooling.

Sport Line and M Sport, only, I believe. My Modern Line 328i doesn't have it.

I have yet to see any N20 with a secondary oil cooler even on the new X3 or Z4.

This is correct.

The reason is in our interview from Detroit with the 3 series product manager @ http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=637828

Here's a pic of it for anyone who doesn't know what it looks like:

On the 328i it is a additional water cooler, not a oil cooler.
All 335i have a oil cooler

328i Additional water cooler
