Yes, these examples are mainly about the USA. But realize that the majority here are in the US, and this is a US website.
We are not too blessed here in the UK either, with the trims we can get in the lines. Personally there is no line or trim, which is my first choice.

I could get the trim and options right in the sport line, but then I can't have the engine I want, no 328i in the sport line in the UK.

IF the touring/wagon lines are no different, then I'm not sure what to get, as it won't be my preferred option, however I specify it.

For an extra $5/month I'd rather have the better handling and lower/meaner looking car.
I think you made the right decision. Get what you want even if it means waiting a little longer. At least you get the car you wanted!

Reordering your car; did it cost you anything extra? Or they simply put in a new order again?

Good luck! June is around the corner...
I was not charged any more for the reorder because it was at least partially the dealer's mistake.

Are you thinking lowered suspension is slightly better gas mileage because of better aerodynamics? It's such a small difference I doubt any change in mileage.

Probably worse mileage if anything; lower increases downforce/drag as less air goes under the car.

Regardless, the difference will be trivial.

Lowering would decrease frontal area by a small amount, roughly 10mm x width of car (71") = ~28 sq in.
Given the same Cd, as BMW says, total drag would decrease.

This assumes the car is a block, already resting on the ground. Then "lowering" the block further by 10mm would decrease the entire frontal area.

In reality, the only change in frontal area is the amount the wheels are tucked up a bit into the wheel wells.

Lowering the car affects lift drag, etc. The coefficient of drag is not the same with a lowered car.

But again, at the speeds we are talking about, etc. the difference is trivial.

Not all suspensions are available on all models in certain countries
I just checked the order form that my dealer submitted: 704 is not a standard option on the Sport Line in The Netherlands.
