^^^ This! And is it just me, or is the Audi interiour very messy, the F30 looks just so much more clean and better thought out imo. 188 kg more, i know the all whell drive is another 100kg, but almost 200 kg more, that's a big b**** imo.

The Audi's front looks nice and that's about it imo. It looks a bit boring from different angles.
188kgs more and quattro. That magical LSD is only suitable for icey/snowy /rainy conditions. On a dry road /track I prefer the F30 rwd feel. |

The Audi interior is a mess IMO. Don't get me wrong, the quality is there and they have a nice looking instrument cluster, but it looks like Darth Vadar's bathroom - way too much switchgear.

Even the cockpit is more squared off towards the driver like the A4. Maybe when seen in the flesh it the differences are more apparent. |

Both cars are winners in my book... but my choice is the 335i 6MT and i am fine with it.

E90 is definitely cheaper, i think its a better car then current a4, F30 will have good rates mid summer when all the options are out (AWD, M Sport)

Honestly I'd probably prefer an s4 over a 335i, but street prices on them are usually in the 60's. Anyhow I feel th 328i is now the bargain for it's level of performance.

I think the f30 looks better than audi s4 from side profile.
because the front-suspension of s4 is too long.... so i think the propotion of f30 is better! the propotion of a front-engine rear-drive(FR) car looks always better than a FF or AWD car...... |

For me, the interior photos are the most telling visual comparison. Look at the lack of attention to ergonomics in the Audi. It's cluttered and confusing. When the car is in park, you have to squeeze your hand between the lever and the controls to use them. Hilarious lack of planning.
As for the exterior, I still think the F30 is ugly. Front does not flow with the back (which is E90-ish).

- Case in point is the volume button... in an audi it is right next to the MMI controls where you would expect it to be, in the Bimmer its completely across the dash and up next the CD changer (which would be ok if all the other buttons for the radio were with the volume button but they are not!) Like I said, I ordered the 335 so that clearly says a lot... And there are a lot of areas where the audi falls down compared to the Bimmer but the interior ergonomics and layout is not one of them, just the .02 of an audi guy...

Guys, better compare the F30 interior/IDrive vs the S4 interior /MMI. Then the F30 will win. Just because it's newer(better integrated)
Coming from a F10 5 series I cannot see why the Audi A6 interior/MMI should be better and/or more ergonomical. I think they are on par. I prefer the F10 5 series interior by far over ANY Audi interior.... |

I think it's almost pointless to compare iDrive vs MMI vs. whatever Mercedes has. You're going to have people who like one over the other, some will find one easier to use while others difficult, almost like a Mac vs. Windows debate.
As for the layout, I'll take BMW simply because everything is easily laid out and it's really where everything should be (traditionally speaking). Radio, climate control? On the dash/HU. iDrive control? Close but away from the shifter but still easily accessible. Everything is separate/clearly laid out and not clumped together like the Audi. |

Like I said in my post, I prefer the traditional layout BMW has stuck to for each generation of their 3, everything is separated and laid out according to their function. Radio/climate controls are in one place, drive controls are placed near the shifter, iDrive controls have their own area. Last edited by 宝马.e90; 04-17-2012 at 11:32 AM. |

The bright red stripe, brushed aluminum/high glass black, silver matte chrome rings on the controls, the top part of the dash sweeping down on the passenger's side? Call it what you want, but "old fashion" is definitely not it... |
