I can't get it to show anything either (Win7 IE 9), even after installing the stupid active-X plugin. I think it's them. Maybe the cameras are down.

I did get some really good pictures of my ship (Demeter Leader) going through the Panama Canal last week, you may have to wait for that.

The Panama Canal web cams are here:

http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html

There are 2 sets of locks; Gatun and Miraflores. There are cameras on both sets. There is also a camera on the Centennial Bridge. There are high and low res cameras for the locks.

Ok, I'm not normally this obsessed (really), but I did capture the transit of my ship (Demeter Leader) through the Miraflores locks and made it into a video.

Enjoy your transit!

My ship went through the first set of locks (Gatun) about an hour after it arrived, but then after those locks, it anchored for the night in Lake Gatun and didn't continue until the afternoon the next day. Once it was under way, it continued on and through the Miraflores locks and then into the to Pacific without stopping.

There are a lot of ships queued up on both sides of the Canal!

Nice, you're on your home stretch.

My ship should arrive in Port Hueneme tomorrow. I then get to wait for it to get through the VPC, get trucked to the dealer, and for them to get it prep'ed.

My ship arrived in Port Hueneme tonight!

Talked to my CA today and he says that I *should* be able to pick it up late next week. After all this waiting, obsessing, tracking, waiting, etc. I might actually get to drive this thing!

Well, from reading these forums, the VPC takes a couple of days, then trucking (at least that's only 30 miles for me), and then the dealer prep time. Also, this Monday is a holiday, so I think Wednesday/Thursday is actually pretty fast.

It won't be real until I get delivery! At least you've driven yours around for several weeks first.

I'm wondering if your ED car has to go through a different customs inspection process than a new born production delivery like mine. That may account for some of the extra time. What did you squirrel away in your car?

BTW: I have the same BMW history that you do!

E30 (1985 - TBW - Totaled By Wife)
E36 (1994 - also TBW)
and now a 2012 F30 328i

You'll be able to track your ship again when it gets near the tip of Baja.

Did you see that tropical storm Bud is between your ship and California? Hopefully it will peter out or move on before the ship gets there!

Okay thanks, I was trying to ignore that - in denial hoping it will go away. Looks like it will make landfall well before the ship gets there though

Yeah, Thanks. Neither of the incidents were her fault and both cars protected her really well. I'd hate to think what would have happened in a less well built car.

So with about a week to go, I stopped by the dealer yesterday to check on the m-sport grills, among other things. Just for giggles my CA threw me the keys to a '12 550i with m-sport package. He is a smart, smart salesperson!
