This happened to my roof last August. Got a new roof because of it. It also destroyed some of the neighbors siding. They got new roofs AND complete new siding. Being in aviation, you should see what hail does to a $50-100M airplane! Sounds like shot gun blasts from the cockpit.

Feel bad for the OP. That just blows. I'd be beside myself.

Garage List
Wow that's terrible with such a new car.

It is possible they don't declare it to be totaled... thing is, I have had a similar damage on a much older car once (so a lot less valuable car) several years ago, and they fixed it instead of declaring it totaled. The value of the car, especially this car, is probably still higher than the damage.

Well, so far 50 out of 80 are totaled and insurance is taking them away, I'm sure they will use the engine and other parts for new cars or something. Now, a lot of people went and are still going asking "how much is for this car, I have 5k" which is really stupid and ignorant. Maybe 20k off a vehicle wouldn't be so baaaad! Oh well, if they give a discount I'll be the first to get one.. LOL and sell it for parts haha oh well, we will see... and BMW said that my car might not need a new engine after all, I'm just waiting for the adjustor to see my car and see what happens.. I'll keep you all posted...

It is not common for hail in Texas, but it was a tornado that came from Monterrey Mexico. That is the reason why hail was the size of a baseball. Roofs were heavily damage and streets got flooded like never before, windows shattered! it was really, really bad...

Talking

Hail is not common here at all! It wasn't even announced in the weather channel or any other channel for that matter. This only happen right in the heart of McAllen, that is the only dealership that was damaged with a 10mi radius. I live 5 miles away from BMW... you can imagne...

Does anyone knows how is Geico about paying for damages?
