Autoexpress rightfully calls 3 the magic number for BMW. It's BMW's top selling model and has set the standard in the small-medium sports sedan class for decades. As such, any new 3 series model is always big news and the natural question to come to everyone's mind is how it compares to its most direct rivals - traditionally the Audi A4 and Mercedes Benz C Class.

Though I've obviously never experienced these engines before, my order would be 1) BMW, 2) Mercedes, 3) Audi. Having driven all three recently, there's no way the dull, lifeless Audi beats anything. The C250 Sport is more fun to drive than the A4, though that surprised me. Audi's gotta do something about their video game steering.

+1. Audi seriously needs to do something to the front fascia. One because it resembles too much of a Jetta. Two, the changes are so subtle, it doesn't look fresh and new - it just looks like the pre-LCI and the previous generation.

the new 3 series takes sometime for me to like it. I like the C-class styling a bit more.
My biggest gripe with the 3 series is you have to select premium package when you want xenon lights. Premium package has that darn roof...
