![]() This logic appals me. You are buying a car based on it's NAV screen? BestBuy is down the street, bud. |

Very impressive. The gap between a 28 and 35 has certainly been made smaller. let's see what BMW does next.

I've been thinking all along that the 335i would get a power bump when the 4er comes out but your point might actually make more sense. Seems like I remember reading that with the E90, BMW wanted another performance model between the 335i and M3, hence the 335is. So instead of 3 gas models, there would be 4 (328, 335i, 3XXi, M3). I could see that.

Can anyone see an added bonus of getting the 335i over the 328i? I6 growl vs good performance and great MPG!!! I don't know which to get. I test drove both and still no idea.

yes, if I am spending $70K-$75K on a car, it better not have anything that I can't live with and I wouldn't spend that much money on a car and not get navigation, plus I think you get that screen even if you don't get navigation because other features like idrive audio and settings are displayed on it. Obviously my decision to buy a car isn't based on the NAV screen but that is one aspect that can sway me away from a car. I don't understand what best buy would have to do with it, so I can get an even uglier windshield mounted NAV screen? My point is that NAV is pretty standard on any upper end cars now, almost any car priced at $60K or more has it standard, and this is a brand new 3 series design, how could they not incorporate it better into the dash? the 5 series, 7 series, SUVs all do a nice job of it, why not the 3 series?

To be precise the difference between similarly equipped 328i and 335i is $3,355 (MSRP prices) or $3,125 (invoice prices) - includes heated front seats and sport auto. This results in around $60 difference in monthly payments. Add another $10-$15 per month for gas. The interesting part would be if there is difference in insurance rates and how much.

Funny when watching the slalom test of the F30 in that video and then noticing the Porsche (at the end of the video) going through the slalom. F30 had a lot of body roll, Porsche had almost none (to be expected, of course). Hoping the stiffer roll bars that'll be on the m-sport package help us out here..
