This is your typical looking at the wrong numbers outsourced event...

The competitors widths were to the outer most part of the mirrors, the F30 was noted as the width to the outer front wheels.

F30 to the mirror tips is 80" to compare apples to apples.

I went to a driving event here in Memphis when the new X3 came out. I love that BMW is so confident in their product that they let you drive the competition back to back and let you decide who makes the better vehicle...

Audi is the widest:

BMW = 71.3
Audi = 72
MB = 69.7

Saw and sat in a few of these at the auto show and i really liked the interior but really hate the hoodline in the new 3er, looks like a bad clearbra line. Can't wait to drive one though
