If I'm in Seattle, will my car come thru the port of Tacoma? Or do all cars get dropped of in California at the prep center and then get trucked from there?

I believe all cars go to California (Oxnard) first, and then go to all the dealers after prepping

Btw, I just checked mybmw and the 800 number, and both now have a new status saying my car is on it's way to the US.

I think my CA is out of office. I called and spoke with someone at BMW, they show my car at port.

BMW website is unchanged, looks like I got screwed!!!

Aww that sucks

The person at BMW, did they check in the system that your dealer also looks in, or did they check the same system the 800 looks in (coz that one is irritating with it's delays).

I hope when your CA is back, he will tell you some better news but sucks to hear this man

I wouldn't trust mybmw and the 800 number. The person I spoke to on the 800 number couldn't tell me any details and told me to talk to my CA.

Agreed, it would be crazy to find out your car missed the boat and is in port for almost a month before it gets shipped. They better give you some hefty discount if that's indeed the case.

Unfortunately not, still does not show any BMW on the Tortugas. Still the same stuff is showing as before.. the only thing that keeps me sane in that knowledge is that I've read quite a few reports from people who never got any tracking on the 2wglobal site but did get their cars

Although I have to say, I stopped checking mybmw and the 800 number now that I'm on board of a ship..... not that it is any improvement, now I'm checking a gazillion websites that provide ship tracking

There are boats today and tomorrow that are arriving in Bremerhaven and then heading to South Carolina. I think my boat will get on one of these FINALLY and then I have at least three more weeks to wait!!

Little update on my 335i. The Turandot has reached the port of New York (actually New Jersey directly across from EWR airport) today, one day behind schedule.

Ordered 1/10
Start Production 2/1
End Production 2/9
Left Factory 2/10
Left Bremerhaven 2/15 (Turandot)
Arrive New York 3/1
Arrive Dealer ?

Luckily the dealer is no more than 50 miles from said port. The anticipation is killing me. Hopefully it won't be in the Prep Center too long.
