I have concluded that most of the time is spent idle and waiting for the next transport, probably sitting in a lot somewhere. It didn't seem very efficient to me, anyway.

It has been 9 weeks today. I Was told about 6 weeks to get the car, boy that was a very, very bad guess by my CA.

So if you order a 328I (east coast drop off), I would look for it to take about 2 months +/- a week. That way if it gets in sooner great, but if more then 9 weeks that's bad.

Car will be at dealer tomorrow and I will pick it up at 11am on Friday

As I placed order on 2nd March this will be 11 weeks

So now that the dealer system shows the car is shipped from the factory how realistic are my estimates in this post? Any guidelines from those who have received their vehicles? Thank you.

Mine was one month 3 days order to driving it, but then the shipping was less far than most of you / USA posters.

It is worth the wait though!

So only a 3 day wait for a boat before setting sail!

Use this site and check ships from Bremerhaven, Germany to (I think for you) Brunswick, Georgia.

Thanks! New York or Baltimore would both be closer to me than Georgia so I'm guessing it will arrive in one of those ports. It looks like a lot of the boats stop at New York, then Baltimore, and then some also go to Georgia so the same dates you mention apply to a Baltimore delivery. It looks like fewer ships are going to New York than Baltimore. Of course, that lists all ships, who knows out of those will actually be carrying BMWs. Hopefully I can make June 6th or 7th.

From Germany to California in just 26 days?? That boat must have been hauling ass! Is that amount of time normal? I thought it took 21 days (3 weeks) just to get to the east coast of the US!

And 5 days from arrival in port to being discharged from the VPC is pretty quick, too, no?

It's been a long 10 weeks since I initially placed my order but finally made it on board the Figaro (left Bremerhaven 7/1 due to arrive at Port Hueneme 7/25). Verified the vehicle was on board via W&W tracking: https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage. BMWUSA is still at status 193 (At port awaiting shipping vessel). Looks like the total time from order placement to delivery will be around 14 weeks: My Timeline
