I'm sure you could just have the dealership do it, right. I wouldn't want to risk really messing the car up.

Wouldn't it be easier to import a Euro Bumper? I think there would be a huge market for that ...

... i am going to Germany for my ED in April, any one wants me to bring back a few bumpers? LOL ...

It would be super expensive to import a euro bumper in.

we use PPG paint. Not every shop can buy BMW paint. We are working on it.

My rep at the dealership got back to me after I asked him if he could confirm the license plate mount changes of mid January. He attached this .pdf

Whew! What a relief, for me at least. Others may not be so lucky...

Join the club. OPtions are limited, outside of ordering a new one.

BMW doesnt make paint

With the OEM (factory) paint its either made by BASF Glasuirit or Dupont Standox depending on the factory the F30 was made in and which supplier supplied the pre-painted bumpers

For aftermarket paint (repair paint) they usually recommend Glasurit,Standox or Spies Hecker through their international authorized repair shops.

Even the coloring from factory painted car batches vary and repair and factory paints are totally different technologies.
So the paint always has to be matched by tinting, even if mixed precisely to specifications

I know they don't make their own paint, but they do sell it.

Anyone know if the front plate's holes line up with a euro front plate? I was thinking of trying to order a euro front plate so that there would be something there to cover the holes...

It's rather prominent, isn't it? That's why I'm going ED when I graduate and keeping the euro plate on the front. Speaking of which, does anyone know if it's legal to have one there, assuming your state does NOT require a front plate?

My sales associate said that they would remove my front license plate wart on BMW's dime. I'm going to drop it off Tuesday, I'll update when I get it back.
