F30 Auto Transmission Differences (2TB Sport Auto Trans) - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

As I've mentioned in the forum here I just put my order in 2 days ago for a Mineral Gray 335i ZLL. I'm a bit confused about the transmissions available though, and my salesman isn't in the office until this afternoon when I'll be at work, so I'm trying to get some clarification now.

Is there even a 6 speed auto available on the F30? My build shows the No Charge Option 205 Steptronic Auto Transmission. Is that the 8 speed I've read about, or a 6 speed? I ask because I also see Option 2TB Sport Auto Trans available only with ZSL.

I wanted the better fuel economy of the 8 speed transmission, but I'm a little concerned that I'm stuck with the 6 Speed now. Or do I have it all wrong and 8 speed autos are standard, with the 2TB just another one of the ZSL only options (Sport steering, M Suspension etc)?

it's 8speed auto, 6sp manual.

God Joe, what a n00b! 8 speed I believe is the default automatic trans for the F30
