Some F30 eyecandy - Real Life Shots (Red, Havana, Black F30s) from Ontario Canada - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Found an F30 in black on a trailer on the 401 in Toronto and then headed to BMW HQ in Richmond Hill and found a couple of 3ers lurking.

Note by Admin (Jason):

Remember, because these are preproduction cars, we still see the development license plate base attached to these F30s. As we've confirmed via BMW, the US production cars will not have any license plate base attached/molded from the factory.

Looks like someone forgot to equip these cars with 3DZ - Without Lines Designation Outside.

Edit: Whoops, I didn't pay close enough attention to the post, these are Canadian spec. Nevermind, who was I to doubt the fine craftsmen (and women) at BMW?

I am SO glad 3DZ is the default in the US! Can you imagine showing up at your friend's house to show them your $50K "modern" car? How about the lampooning you'll get for having "Sport" on the side of a car?

This is too Euro for us...and I'm glad BMW got it before sending the cars here.

Unfortunately, it'll still be on the door sills... "BMW Modern" , "BMW Sport" etc. Meh. If you think you'll get razzed about it just have them quickly get in the car and shut the door.

I feel the same way. I don't know if I can deal with black again but when it's clean and swirl free it looks amazing.

I will probably end up with mineral gray though.

Wow this car is gonna stand out, first pic is really cool.

First thing I'll do in Europe is debadge the damn lines though ... always hated that so much on previous Mercedes' -_-

This car is at Endras BMW. This is a dealer. Why would a dealer have a pre-production car?

The hood line looks much better without all sorts of weird ceiling and light objects reflected in it creating weird illusions. Outdoor pics are much nicer.

I was thinking the same thing about the license plate thing.

Dealer may have a pre-production car for two reasons. One is that it's about to go to an auto show (could be very wrong on this one). Other reason could be that these cars are about to make their way across Canada as part of the huge new unveiling for the F30. They did this with the X1, sent two of them across Canada for the major unveiling this past March. With the pre-production cars they send them back to Germany afterwards to be crushed (this is what a CA told me at the X1 event).
