Right now I'm waiting for the F30 M-sport package. My dealer seemed a bit put off when I started discussing the M-Sport package. Of course he wants me in a car now. I do hope it won't be too much longer until we hear about a release date.

someone on this forum said his CA told him we'll be able to order MY13s starting May 14th, which is next Monday.

even if that doesnt come true, i still think we'll get ordering guides by the end of this month.

Hmmmm, I believe that is for the new M5 only,still a while until order banks open for '13 3ers afaik

I came across the M Performance Parts catalog - http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=658121

On the 6th page of the pdf it mentions a M Performance Power Kit.
It says it will increase the power on a 320D from 135 kw and 380 NM to 147 kw and 420 NM. That is about a 16 HP boost and a 29 ft lb increase for the 320d. Does any one know what the performance boost will be on a 335?

But it looks like it will only be available starting in 12-2012.

Is this a chip mod that can be added to an existing F30 in December? Or would I have to wait until December and order it with the car?

This will be a software tune performed at your dealer once you've already taken delivery, we'll all be getting it in December! I would expect it to be about 20hp or so, probably comparable to the tuned N55 currently offered in the 640i

In the US, no(as far as we know now)...elsewhere they have the blue/black alcantra/something option...but it'll be black, light tan, or red leather with color coded stitching...I can't remember if the red has black stitching or red...but you get the idea. no black w/ blue stitching.

Can anyone clarify this on the M-sport package?

Will the M-sport package come with the M-sport suspension or will that be a separate option?

Will the M-sport price include paint like the Estoril Blue or will that be a $550 or so option like normal metallic paint?

Will the M-sport be $3500 or so on top of the cost of a sport line or is that on top of the base car before a line is selected?

The way I was hoping to justify this M-sport was this:

I was going to spend $1400 on the sport package anyway, so the M-sport would only be $2100 more.

I was going to spend $900 on the M-sport suspension anyway on the sport line, so if the M sport car comes with it, then that's $900 more I wouldn't have to spend separately.

I was going to spend $900 on the staggered 19" wheels for the sport line since it was the only way to get 255mm tires on the back, but since the M-sports 18" wheels come stock with 255mm tires on the back, I would just get those and no extra cost on top of the M-sport.

I was going to spend $550 or whatever it was on metallic paint, but if the Estoril Blue paint is part of the M-sport package price, then that's more extra money I won't be spending.

So......

$2100 cost of M sport package over sport package
-$900 for 19" wheels I would not need for 255mm setup on back
-$900 for M sport suspension
-$550 for metallic paint I may not need......

This package could end up saving me money over what I was going to spend on my sport line? Can anyone confirm these items?
