My advice is to keep the partying limited and focus on getting a good GPA the first year. To get into law school you are going to need a very good GPA and its easier to start off with a 4.0 then "build up" to a 4.0.

Freshman year is the easiest year.

This is true. Boston also has a ton of great schools. The only downside to this is that Boston is pretty much dead in the summer, and the city shuts down after midnight/1 am (except for clubs).

I'm from MA and went to school at The University of Hawaii...amazing time.
That being said, my wife went to the University of Georgia...it is by far the most fun place I've ever been. Have you been to Athens? At least go check it out. Their academics are vastly improved over the last 10 years with the hope scholarship.

so far I've been accepted to UCR and Michigan and Michigan offered me a 40k scholarship even though i'm not really planning on going there :/ haven't heard back from any of the rest yet... everything else is coming within the next couple of weeks haha

You'd be crazy to not do Michigan Engineering for $40k off.

Go to the most hooked up college you can get into and work your ass off. I went to a good school but it wasn't as hooked up as many others, once you graduate, ultimately your going to be counting on the connections the school has with employers to get your foot in the door. The better the school, the easier it is... Almost every business job ive looked at REQUIRES at least a 3.0 to even be considered. remember this whether you decide to party or study.

Very valid advice. Keep in mind that your budget must come into play as well.
