Why is the wheel gap so large? Seems like every new model gets worse.

I had a Le Mans Blue M Sport E90 manual 330i before and now I have a 1M. All I liked with this new package is the new M driver's foot rest which looks cool and the exterior color which I love.

Maybe it looks better in person, but really I wouldn't change my E90 sedan for this before some real road testing etc. It is the first new 3 series which didn't please my eyes. Just my opinion.

That camera man is far too annoying for me to even finish that video, beautiful car though.

I never understood why BMW doesn't include simple, minor options like alcantara for the seats to the US market, but it does every where else. How hard is it to add that option to some US-bound cars? They build the 3er's in Germany anyway, why not just add alcantara instead of leather when building the car? If anyone could shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.

I still unsure about the interior, I was hoping for the more F10 like dash, too bad.

i like their strategy to release Msport this early.

Now i can go get the fresh Used E90 Msport LCI for a good price which looks better(exterior).

Looks really nice overall. Not digging the "skinny" steering wheel yet, prefer the e90 wheel still. Also, the seats remind me of the seats in my old 2003 Evo' 8 at first glance.

I clicked on that video to hear that German gentleman who is an expert from BMW talk and all I heard was the autospies guy. Autospies dude, thanks for making these videos as they are pretty sweet, but please know your place. Let the guy who built the car tell the story and get him to tell you what we want to hear. Otherwise, I felt it necessary to skip ahead in the video to find when he was talking, not autospies guy.

"the alcantara interior will not be available in the US, mostly due to the lack of acceptance of cloth interiors from the general US market."

Damn.....I hate when the ignorant masses of this country prevent us from enjoying great products.....

I got Speedcloth on my ///M and its AWESOME. To my surprise, everyone at the dealer liked it, and commented how different it was. I got it for practical purposes of gripping me better in the back roads and track time.

I like leather as much as the next guy, but it BLOWS MY MIND why people think cloth = cheap, when every 15k car in this country comes in leather, while some of the most EXPENSIVE cars (Ferrari, Porsche, etc....) offer variations of higher-end fabrics.

Stop the madness.

Cheers,
e46e92

I saw new F30 in silver in edgewater NJ last week and damn that car looked much hotter in person. Front end looked better than I expected and car didn't look too flat as it is depicted in photos. Lines were pretty darn sharp.

The exterior (minus the headlights) is nice but that interior is just awful. The tacky blue accent line looks like something from a cheap ricer. And the steering wheel. What on earth were they thinking? I'm hoping they do a better job on the 4 series or I will be keeping my e92 when the lease is up or moving to Audi. I really don't want to do that but that interior makes me nauseous.

I think the blue piece is anodized aluminum which is really nice and has a really quality feel to it. Its not just some plastic strip

I like the exterior okay...but the interior is busy and I really think it looks like something from a Japanese manufactuer.

To make an analogy, I feel like they went from a understated Apple laptop design (simple, streamlined) to a Dell laptop type of design (plasticky, colored trim/lids). Everything just looks sort of overdone.....especially the air vents, dashboard lines, trim, and Nav screen. The worst is the M-Sport steering wheel. I realize this is a throwback but it just looks sort of goofy.

I really think the E90/92 has aged amazingly well....I dont think in 7-10 years we will look back on this model and say the same thing.

Keep in my I will probably end up with an F32 anyway, but just wanted to express my opinion
You're analogy is spot on! Wish I saw it before posting mine. There are those BMW fans that will think anything they do is great. BMW does not need to worry about those people. But those of us that can look at it with a less biased eye all seem to have the same opinion...cheap Japanese import look. I really just cannot get over how bad it looks. It doesn't make me happy to say that but it's the truth.

i think the design in the cloth looks extremely tacky, it looks like something that would be in a little japanese car or my friends GTI

I'm having a hard time syncing your comments with your avatar. I happen to prefer the cloth in GTI's to the cheap leather that they use in non-M 1er and 3ers, but I realize that most Americans immediately think "leather" is nicer than any cloth.

Another tacky thing is, you can see the paint of the door from inside the cabin. not sure if that was intentional or not, but still tacky

or is it just the angle and flash that caught the gap?
