I have not really ever seen Mineral White until this year and I must say it looks to be an amazing color. Personally Alpine white is my favorite white by any car manufacture there is, it's white on snow and almost ALWAYS looks amazing on any BMW.
I would assume Alpine white is harder to keep clean since it is almost a snow white rather than the Mineral white being white with a pearl in it. Between the two Alpinweiss will forever be my favorite. |

Try and see them in person.
Alpine is regular white, Mineral looks a bit like a pearl Some people dont like Mineral at all, others love it.

I dislike white cars, although I appreciate how they are the best at showing off the lines of any vehicle.
With this said, I find Alpine White by far the more appealing - it is classic and unpretentious. |

The Alpine white is very nice......but since I have had a white car for the last 7 years, I needed something different.

I need to go and check out a MW car to decide, I've heard it really makes the lines of the car pop more than regular AW.
Down Under it's an option to get black mirrors, otherwise they come in the colour you buy/order. |

I had Alpine white on my E90. It has a yellowish tint and more of a flat color and hard to make it shine. I visited the dealer and saw the Mineral White which is metallic but not PEARL. This is a new color and was only offered by BMW the last few years. If you see the MW at the dealership, it is hard to tell unless up close. It does look shiner though.
Our previous car was a Mini Countryman and preferred their Light White color. Picture of a MW 335is attached.

From what I understand Mineral White has a thicker paint coat.. hence abit easier to repair swirls and scratches..
And they do like different.. you may mistake a mineral white for silver at times.IMO |

Hence this is why many of us devoted alpine white BMW owners have switched to other colors (mineral gray for mine) on the F30, I like the overall appearance but all the lines on the front (particularly hood line) are just too much...sorry to rain on your thread..

Na it is good everyone has an opinion.
I am also thinking Mineral Grey, but seems alot of people are getting it. I also want to get the external M-performance parts on that white. Will look sick. |

Also, swirls are in the Clear coat, which is exactly the same on all 3 Series from a particular factory ( BASF or Standox, depending on Factory )

I have Alpine White on my car - looks very good and for my purposes I like it. However, it you want to minimize the appearance of swirl marks, Mineral White is better - as with and metallic paint, the sparkle of the particles will help to hide the swirl marks.

Alpine white is non metallic which means it will show swirls more and since white is made with titanium oxide, it's one of the hardest paints, and the hardest to effectively correct. However metallic paints are effectively impossible to match if you need to respray; the metal flake will never match perfectly and is generally a different size anyway.
I own a Jet Black car and just sold an Imola Red one, both are non metallic and I prefer non-metallic colors. However I'll likely do an Estoril F31 next, so I'll see if my dislike of metallic paints still holds true. |

I have not personally seen MW and I can't tell in that posted pic above. I do have 1 jet black bimmer and 1 BSM bimmer and I completely regret getting the flat jet black. Not only does the BSM sparkle beautifully in the sunlight, it is much more kind to scratches, swirls and I feel like it holds the wax shine better than JB. I will not be getting another non-metallic color bmw.
