COMMENTS

The BMW UK F30 3 series configurator is now online, available for all those interested in spec'ing out their F30s and seeing how a particular configuration looks.

Available for configuration are F30 base, modern, luxury and sport lines, in a full array of colors, wheels, and interior trims. Packages and optional equipment are also listed, all with prices. The 335i Sport Line and M sport variations are not yet online, but it shouldn't be long.

Production of the F30 recently kicked off at the Munich production plant.

Click on through and configure your F30, but be sure to share your results with us here.

Anybody else notice option 6WA - Black panel display, full?

Does this mean the screen goes all the way across the bottom like on the 5/7's ?

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

The U.S. interface is much more user-friendly.

Yeah, I agree. So the lines are actual models and not packages like I was thinking. So you have to pick one and can't pick a stock 3xx model and build?

Ugh...

What a pain in the a**... Apparently, you can't choose a black interior on the 335i? Say what? I'm sure it's a work in progress, but please make sure some of the more obvious bugs are gone before releasing onto the web.

Oh well, no biggie.

No kidding.

Unrelated, the dash in front of the passenger is not growing on me, as I hoped it would. The dashtop plastic should NOT curve down over the wood/aluminum trim. Looks horrible.

Coral Red Dakota leather is offered for 320d sport. I REALLY hope they offer red leather for the US version. *Crosses fingers*

Looks like the M Adaptive Suspension and M Sport Suspension are available without having to get the M sport package.. (in UK at least)

Garage List
Thanks! At least now we know that stupid red line can be removed from the interior trim! Also (sensibly) it makes sense to get Sport package as things like adaptive suspension and such cost much less. I specced a Modern (I like the light dash!) and then added sport suspension - but carried over my specs to Modern line and it was 1k cheaper. Nice.

Standard is cruise control and PDC - on a 320D! Again, thank you BMW, about fking time!
