The face lift on the E90 did wonders, imo.

Recently I saw a photo comparison of the current A4 and the "lifted" one, and I conclude that the new one has lost some aggressiveness, both in the front, and especially in the rear.
The changes should NOT have been made.
Thus, the face lift is a FAIL, by virtue of comparison.
On it's own the A4 looks fine. Next to the one it replaces, it's fail.

What did they change on the rear....it looks the same to me, just different light graphics inside the taillights ?

It s hard to say who's better only seeing some photos.
In reality you'll understand better the shape, the angles and the car as an entire product.
Audi designed later the S4 model/engine than 335i and they will do the same with the new S6 over 550i. Here they are doing a very smart move.
Finally the last decision can be taken after test driving both models.
As from an enthusiast point of view, being a fan of one or another car you'll not keep it stock so it s not relevant which is the faster car when it leaves the gates of the factory
The new M Sport F30 looks awesome in my opinion and can be much more agressive with some nice touches

3er hood is a bit too elongated for me but looks mean, rear is great
a4er looks like a bit droopie, windshield rake is better tho

I agree those photos arent very comprehensive, you can't see the cars' best angles. Kudos to BMW for making the base 3 so ugly and making the M-sport fascia a bit better, combining to actually make the M-Sport a worthwhile upgrade. I just hope they dont lose sales of the base model all in the name of selling a few more M-Sport packages and M3s.
