New 2012 3 series F30 Sedans Spotted, Sports New Wheels

We bring you more spy photos of the 2012 3 series sedan (F30), in black and space gray, as BMW finishes the final evaluation phase testing on the next generation 3 series sedan.

Although the camouflage tape remains on these FEP level prototypes, we've already recently had a great uncovered look at the production F30 front and rear [see these photos if you've been under a rock] in a recent spotting at an F30 official photo shoot. But, these photos continue to give us views at the F30's overall size (expected to be just slightly larger than the E90) and its attractive proportions and stance. The black F30 test car also shows a new wheel style yet to be seen on an F30 prototype.

Signs are pointing to an F30 reveal sometime late October/early November at a London and/or Munich venue. The F30 will makes its world public debut at the 2012 Geneva show next March, go on sale in Europe shortly thereafter, and be available in the US beginning Spring 2012.

I can see from the last pic from up high and through the rear window that the Shifter will be an electronic one just like on the 5, 6, X5, X6, and 7-series BMWs.

Um, those look like 284 rims:

Just 20 spoke, instead of 15

I think the 20 spoke looks like too much... and will be a bitch to wash!

Either a 318i or 320d.

Wheels look pretty lame IMO.

Center stack is very VW/Honda Civic like, ugh.

Was hoping for a 5 like stack.

Exterior styling is the best thing on the car though.

Here is another video on that site, looks like it's the same car from those pictures. You can also see the turn signal and brake lights on that last car when he almost ran over the guy with camera. The car looks realy look good with tinted windows in pics and video.

From this video you can really tell that the F30 is quite large, similar to the current F10 5 series, and definitely larger than the E90.

Wheels are easily changeable and I'm sure that there will be at least 2-3 options for them.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that the interior spy pics that were seen there aren't an actually representation of the production interior. I don't remember when I read this, but if I recall correctly it was just a bunch of leftover parts cobbled together from a few different prototypes. OR it was the interior from the F20 1er that they just put in the F30 for testing.
