actually i was just talking to someone about this in a shop today.

they are expecting something like a 3D to come out instead and try and milk the 5D for a little longer.

but something is likely to be anounced come august or september, if anything happens with the current situation in Japan.

he was saying hopefully it will feature a auto focus similar to what can be found in the 1 series cameras.

but beyond that, no real idea.

yeah... pretty much everyone's making up rumors and such. This is why Canon needs to give us some authentic info.

problem is, the 5DmkII still sells well, so they don't really have to rush.

but it would be nice to see some new gadgets, i don't need more megapixels, just refinement.

yeah, the guy was saying that hopefully there will be some news soon, the stock piles of cameras are starting to dwindle, pretty much the only companies that are safe are Samsung and Lica

btw, I've been waiting for the damn 5Dmk3 since middle of last year. I wish I bought the mk2 before prices skyrocketed.

i sold my 35mm f/1.8 lens for $180 and then the disaster hit and the price of the lens skyrocketed $300+

so far so good. i did update the new firmware.
the feel though is pretty much the same as the D90 but it's definitely much faster.
duo card slot is a plus as i can assign the second slot for video
16mp is insane and fills my SD card quickly when shooting in raw
