I'm sure BMW reps read this forum. Add your (reasonable) suggestions below.
I'll start: 1) Put the door lock/unlock button on the door, preferably by the window controls 2) Metal pedals for brake, gas (and clutch) 3) No additional charge for metallic paint 4) Get rid of the cruise control "stalk" and replace with push buttons 5)

Cool. Add that to the "Things you didn't know about your 3 series" thread.
IMO, the cruise stalk gets in the way and can be simplified by simple push button controls.

Lol the moon roof does tilt, you just push it up.
As fkr the paint, NO dont make it free, you need to pah for extra thats the way it is otherwise everyone would be taking the metallic since its free and everyone will have the same colours... |

I hope the leave the cruise stalk the way it is, it's pretty intuitive and easy to use IMO.

Ventilated seats are offered in 5/7 since theyre big cars, the 3 is a sporty car so theyre not goi g to put those. Cloth interior?? Do you really think bmw would loose their reputation of being a luxury brand? They offer leatherette.... Reliabilty? Well they might have had a few problems with the first gen fuel pump but besides that and some injectors bmw is very reliable! My 335i is on the original 07 fuel pump And cabin storage is limited since the 3 series is a small car... We sure as hell dont want them any bigger/heavier if so get a 5 series. Stripped down version.... Well they do offer a base version, Im nkt really sure what else tbey could take out and not affect the brands name. |

number 3 won't happen, not only is metallic paint more expensive to make, it also takes a slightly different technique to apply it so it will always be more expensive. This won't every happen, that's one of the main things that makes an M car exclusive. Almost all BMWs used to have limited slips until the late 80s and only some winter package cars came with them. But now none of them have it unless it's an M series.

1. Turbo 4-cylinder diesel with 6-speed and AWD for better MPGs.
2. Window controls on the door. 3. Ventilated seats. Competition offers it. 4. Less weight. 5. Easier 1-2 shift (stick). 6. Dash tilted to driver. Not sure even if they read this it will much difference. The car is already designed.

A mandatory oil cooler for all 335i's, period.
Add that and factory option to add limited slip diff, some (a lot) of us would really appreciate.. And yeah, why a double standard with speed governors?? Make ur mind, 135mph or 155 mph n stick with it!!!!!!!!!

Probably too late for any/many of these suggestions to make it into initial production. That said, this must be the fiftieth such thread in the past several years on this and other BMW boards, so if the company has any interest in what their enthusisast followers are saying, they have known for some time.
In particular, the complaints about the RFTs and lack of an oil dipstick have been found in every thread for years. I am not holding my breath that we will see any changes here in the F30 but I would love for BMW to surprise us! |

How about better fit and finish body panels on par with Audi.
When is BMW going to stop using rubber surround on their front and rear windscreens?.....Thats so 90's. |

1. window controls around the shift knob, where they belong.
2. ventilated seats. 3. adaptive cruise as a canadian option. 4. Heads up display. 5. keep the rwd version (7er in Canada only x-drive) 6. and as always, more power! |

Beter key design, MB keys are alot beter.
Get rid of the slot for the key. Move the AUX input out of the center console, so anoying. Have a better screen for the radio on non idrive cars.
