I really dont understand why people call themselves "Persians". Were you born in 1910 or something? I dont know what it means more, the lack of geographical sense for most in the U.S or just a desperate attempt to get away from being Iranian. It just seems a bit dodgy.

persian is more of a ethnicity and iranian is a nationality. We have arabs, kurds, turks, afghans and persians in Iran.

You know, of all the applications and forms I have filled out, persian was never a choice. They would actually mention "Other white-non Hispanic" so is this the category that persians fall under?

Apparently Persians are white, brown, and Asian. So they would select D, all of the above.
