If these are what BMW has in mind for the F30, may the lord have mercy.

I am worried about how the nose of the front of the car will look like. Something about the shape does not seem right. The grills on the front of the newer models are also too big.

BTW, did you guys see the latest comparo in the C&D magazine. The new 5er was last going against Infinity and the A6. I tend to agree with what was written, in terms of things that bothered the writers would bother me. I am happy they mentioned the fact that 5er's fender and bumper would cave in at a slighter push. This was my biggest problem with the E92. They also mentioned the overall numbed out feeling they have with the car.

My worry is that the F3X is following this trend.

I think BMW is loosing touch with its original philosophy pretty rapidly. At this point the engine tech is what they have going for them.

that rendering makes it look bigger and badder than the 5 series and that's not gonna happen.

having said that, i like your design anyhow. i just don't think it's accurate.

Definitely one of the best renderings yet, IMO. I would be content if the F30 ended up looking like that. Most of the other renderings make me want to hurl, but I could easily deal with the "baby 5-series" look.

Nice work .

Wow, if this is the case then fail. I almost mistook it for a volvo at first.

Great rendering! I would revise the front grill ever so slightly, it's too prominent.

[quote=jonsibal;7588015]Here's my rendering of the 2012 BMW 3er sedan. Sharper angles all around.

Definitely this rendering feels like the closest to the real thing. Almost looks like a 5, specially if a 3 series long wheelbase version is on the cards.

I hate the direction BMW is taking with the E92/3 LCI, F10 and F30 front bumper

I prefer the nose (kidney grills) area to be more slanted (as in E90) rather than straightened (as for all newer BMWs). Understand this is due to some EU pedestrain safety regulations. So there is a stronger reason to keep my E90 longer.
