What makes a car worthy of COTM????? - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

I don't mean to be a sore loser, but I was wondering what actually makes a car COTM?
Most times cars that are stock but for a few small things appear as car of the month, which to me is retarded, since doing a build on a car, and doing it tastefully is what should get a car nominated.

I counted at least 6 comments that said definitely COTM.
On the rest of the comments, were mostly best ever AW on the forum etc etc

How come a stock ZCP with an Akra gets COTM for May?

I'm baffled, any comments from the community?

PS I am not serious, taking the piss, but curious none the less

I am sorry for you. You would definitely get my vote. But I hope you modded your M3 for yourself and not for becoming COFTM, otherwise you have spend a lot of money and time for nothing dare I say....

You know how much I like your car, and I for one agree that it is worthy of COTM, gets my vote every time

Yours is one of the cleanest modded cars there is, mine however is a lot more aggressive but I still managed COTM.

maybe because your pictures are normal and not all dazzled up, they are also small and all packed into the threads.

yea i would suggest you do a photoshoot and post a bunch of the photos in one thread. takes pictures of all the car inside and out, and im sure you will get picked. Your car is tits. GL

agreed on the photoshoot. I can honestly say that yours is my favorite M3 on this board, so I don't see any other reason why you wouldn't be COTM, if not COTY (if there is such a thing).

Does the COTM actually get posted anywhere? I've never seen it and only recently discovered where to vote for it. Unless someone actually requested a vote in a thread I probably wouldn't think about it. Like selling anything online pictures make a huge difference.

Regardless of what car actually got it, to my knowledge, your car was the best and most significant private build to be completed recently. My favorite by far.

I agree. And lightly modified cars shouldn't get too much consideration either. When I think COTM, I'm thinking lots of mods, which make the car stand out -- in a good way -- from the rest of the crowd.
