Can't send Private Messages (PMs) - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

I need someone's assistance in this. I can seem to send any private messages. It appears that I may not have the privileges to do this action. I have tried everything from going into the "user cp" section and try PMing someone there, but it says that I can't (paraphrasing this of course). I have also tried clicking on the user's name in the threads, but again the option for me to PM someone is unavailable. Can anyone please help me with this? Thank you!

I have run into this problem as well. It's probably because we're new users, but I hope it's fixed soon.

It's definitely because you guys are new, and most likely implemented this way to prevent random users from signing up and spamming users. However, I'm unsure what you need to do to unlock the functionality - probably a certain number of posts. But I'm sure a Mod could clarify this further.

I encountered the same challenge when sending private messages. Anybody have a post or time estimate before the feature kicks in?

Hello fellow Bimmerpost members!

First of all, I want to apologize for all this confusion.

jopa489 is correct in his assumption. The forum has enabled a new 5 POSTS RULE, where you have to reach that many posts before you can start sending PM's.

It was placed in order to prevent spammers from intruding our members.
