He's an idiot who will be stone deaf before too long (or has/will have MASSIVE tinnitus). Unless of course he's the only smart one and has ear plugs in. Even with ear plugs, standing that close to a V-10 at full song is dangerous to your hearing.

Really good ear plugs will work just fine. There is no way he doesn't have something in his ears. WAAAY too loud.
