Ive got a F31 330d m sport on 19" on demo for two weeks
shame it's so wet today

Two questions,

1) the professional nav in my F10 has much better map colours and google style 3d maps that show hills etc. is this option is not available on the F31?

2) the car has no spec sheet but has comfort setting so I presume I have active suspension. It was interesting changing between sport and comfort while running down the cats eyes on the (empty) motorway today.
How do I know if I have variable sport steering? Haven't noticed it, so if it turns out I do it's wasted on me.

punch the VIN into BMW vin decoder and you'll see what options it has.

Thanks. Done that and I only have standard fit Serotronic.

Any views on the sat nav?

You get 'comfort' and 'sport' settings even without adaptive suspension; without the suspension all that changes is steering feel, throttle response and shift points/shift speed...

Thanks to Nisfan and the VIN checker I can confirm my cats eye test was correct and the car has adaptive suspension. Also found it has park assist so will give that a try tomorrow although I'm not interested in having this

Looking through the brochure the sat nav shots show similar to my F10. Could it be that the connected drive is not set up?

Update: sorted it, setting is in map views unlike F10 where it is accessed from the "options" button

Was just about to say, sure you have satellite images turned on? 3D perpective? etc.
