$1000 sport package!
I wish the 335 had the same option choices. If you can get over it being slow, a 320 with sport package only is a pretty cheap/decent/good looking/sporting city car.

Looks like $1300 to me. Bargain as it gets 18's and the M-Sport wheel alone make it worth the money.
A performance type build +moonroof+heated seats+folding rear seats and burled wood came out to $37k |

agreed this is a great base car, even a great car period. You don't get top-of-the line features (no lines) but you get a very attractive car for $38,000. The equivalent build on the 328i is $44,000.
Enough said. |

I see it now! It's because the X-drive does not include the Sport suspension.

320 in the US really isn't much car for your money. You're losing the great engine, you're tied for fuel economy, and once you pump features you'd want in you're bumped up to almost 45k again. They remove things like the folding rear seats from the base config too apparently.
At that point I think the Japanese cars become a lot more bang for the buck, but a lot of buyers just want the badge and a good lease price so they'll sell a ton I'm sure.

I think the 320 would be a good option if it had significantly more MPG. You lose a lot of performance over the 328 and you gain really nothing in MPG. I like the simplicity of the options, but to me its not really a good value at all. Especially on lease I cant imagine it being that much cheaper then a 328 once you put some options on it.
Kind of reminds me of the old 318's that were here, poor performance and not a huge increase in MPG. I guess you could tune it for more performance, 0-60 in 7.1 isn't exactly slow but not not very fast either. Its about average, but will get blown away by any Accord or Camry with a 6 in it these days, its on par with a 2001 325.
