In the printed F30 Navigation/Entertainment manual (p. 51, top/right), BMW states that playback cannot be guaranteed for bit rates >256 kbit/s. This sux BIG TIME if I have to batch transcode my files to 256 kbit/s!!!
Can this be unlocked?

Does anyone that has ripped and tagged their mp3 collection and plays from USB in their F30 have issues with the Artist vs. Album Artist fields being recognized and displayed correctly? For me, itt seems as the F30 doesn't read the Album Artist field at all.

Also, has anyone succesfully been able to tag a single song with two different artists (like a duet), so that the song would be listed during a search for either of the two artists? If so, how did you tag this?

It will play Lossless WMA, but only directly from USB.

Has anyone playing their mp3 collection from a USB stick been able to tag a single mp3 song with mulitiple artists and get their F30 to show that song under both artists?

I am having trouble doing this. It also seems the F30 does not read the Album Artist field at all, rather the Artist field only.

Track resetting to the begining

Hi Guys

My F30 is driving me nuts. I listen to two hour podcasts and it resets to the beginning of the track intermittently after I cycle the ignition. I can't find any pattern to it. Sometimes I can go days and it doesn't happen. Other times I can just come back 5 minutes after switching the car off and when I start it again it is back to the beginning. It never forgets the track, just where it is within the track.Has anyone else seen this problem? Does anyone else listen to long tracks off the USB stick?

Thanks

Been listening to a 60 min track. It has been playing fine from USB. I do notice a delay in continuing to play after restarting the BMW. Not sure if that is the track or just the USB.
