Adaptive Headlights on M-Sport - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

So I RTFM about the Adaptive Headlights on the M-Sport, and it mentions that in a tight corner one foglight will turn on to help illuminate.

But us Yanks do not get fog-lights on the M-Sport, so aside from the Xenons auto-leveling (like they did back on my E46), does the Adaptive option do anything in a turn without fog-lights?

With Adaptive Xenon's, you will find that when you turn left, they turn left. When you turn right, they turn right. If your headlight position is set to Automatic.

Nice! I don't have the high beam assistant, but the adaptive headlight is cool in and of itself. I need to take some twisties at night to try them out.

Damn. Had I known this is how they function I'd have checked the box.

I wonder how tough a retrofit would be...

I did not order Xenon;( is there any way to upgrade to xenon?

Kind of funny... I have had my f30 from a couple of weeks now, and is funny that yesterday when I parked, there was a glass wall so I can see the front of the car, and I noticed that just 1 of the fog lights was on. I assumed that the other was burn, and thinking about to get to the dealer an check it, but suddenly when I turn the wheel, the left light turned off. So plying a little bit with the wheel, I realized that fog lights are synchronized with the wheel. You turn left an xenon headlights turn in that direction, and also left fog light turn on, center dead on, and both fog lights are off, right turn, then right fog light on... Nice feature, I don't remember that owner's manual say something about it.. Still, my xenon headlights are aligned too low (factory set), I need to adjust them, because they can't illuminate beyond 50'...
