I also prefer 1 series interior over current 3er. That being said I don't want it to look exactly the same. The current 3er interior is too blocky, flat and simple and needs some curves back with dash angled whichever way.

There's no room for vents on top of dash (unlike the E90) because the screen is in the way so they had compensate by making the dash vents larger.

Ya my thoughts exactly - looks like a combo of new drivers side dash then east of the start/stop button they filled the rest of the car with old 1er stuff

its basically still way to early to see any significant signs of a possible final design ... as long as it doesnt look like a lexus im happy

So let me get this straight... the new 5-Series interior was designed to look like you are in a 7-Series, but the next 3-Series interior will be designed to look like you are in a 1-Series?

I'm pretty sure that they're testing out a few new feature and design ideas for the F30 but using the 1 series interior as camo. It's entirely possible that they have mixed and matched...

Looks alot like a 1, but the start button is completely integrated and there is the aforementioned complete circle on the dials. It does have more of an E46 look (which I like) and I am glad they are getting rid of the blocky dashboards of the E90, E60, E65. Now hopefully if you spec it without Nav you lose the dash pod on top, it looks hideous.

I actually used to not like the e9x interior but having had one I love it. it's not as good as the e46 but having iDrive makes life sooo much more comfortable
