For you, you'll only have it if you drive an active-hybrid 3 or own a yet to be released 2014 model. NA 3 series otherwise still have the CIC.

NBT is unmistakable just by looking at the iDrive Screen. It has Red Highlights, and when you are on a submenu, the main menu on the left is at an inward angle instead of being flat.

I'm going to be ordering a 2014 335i xDrive M-Sport this week. On the order sheet it states 609 Nav Pro with touch wheel. I assume this is the NBT?

What does CIC mean? Is that just the older Nav units with older hardware?

Thanks!

I believe all 2014 Models are scheduled for NBT, and since the Touch Wheel is listed, I think it is safe to assume you will be getting NBT.

iDrive Professional Navigation (CCC) = Car Communication Computer
iDrive Professional Navigation (CIC) = Car Infotainment Computer
iDrive Professional Navigation (CIC-HIGH) = Car Communication Computer, aka NBT, (Next Big Thing)

Can't recall now and sorry for the confusion, but I just did a ED for a 2013 model of M5. Not sure if they come with upgraded navi.
I used it extensively in Europe, but from all the excitement I forgot what it looks like. The car is scheduled to arrive in mid July, but I am trying to do all the research I need to do now.

Guys my CA told me he has seen some F30 saloons in the US which were built with NBT units. He said they are the latest productions in the past month. Can anoyone confirm this? Maybe they are out of old units and started installing new ones?

I have not heard this, are they confusing AH3's?

My F30 Production Date of April 3 2013 does not have it. It's only been in the country 3 weeks.

I asked if he meant the AH3's but said no, the regular F30s.

Well we are losing by 1 now

It is ridiculous that we get the latest tech after a year/couple of years. BMW should start fixing that.

Gotta use up all the inventory in the pipeline first...

And that is if we even get the new (old) technology at all. 6WB MFID Instrument Cluster has been available to Europe on F10 for over a year now, and it is still not an even an option on the upcoming 2014 LCI F10. They can also order 6WA or 6WB Clusters as standalone options in Europe and elsewhere, whereas stateside you can only get 6WA if you order S610A Head-up display (HUD).

Considering that my car is in production now I would love for them to be right but it seems like they are probably a little confused.

Crossed fingers and waiting! I'll definitely let people know what I get in a few weeks! Well they won't produce any more MY2013s though

Not sure if my ActiveHybrid3 Has this

I have a 2013 ActiveHybrid3 that I took delivery of in January this year. I had it built and shipped over from Germany because I wanted every single add on.
However, I haven't seen the screenshots like those posted on this thread, so I'm not sure I have the most up to date system. The system is faster and different to 2009 3-series, and the woman's nav voice is horrendous now, but I'm not sure I have the correct update.
Is there a way to check?

Thanks, and sorry if this has been answered already.
