I still think Telsa is somewhat of a joke. The magazines & journalists have built Elon Musk to mythical proportions. His ego is huge and he honestly buys into the Tony Stark persona. The one thing he is good at surrounding himself with people who know what they are doing. If it wasn't for Fisker & Lotus there wouldn't have been a roadster to start with. Everyone knows about the car , but how many are actually on the road? not many. So while the new model is a HUGE leap forward , I still have my doubts. Motor Trend will give the car "COTY" honors without knowing it will run for more than a month without major problems.

F30's are way too common down this side!! i could prob count at least 10 on the way home. The most popular lines seem to be no line or M-Sport but they all seem to be 328i

Lots of F30's in Southern California. I see 1 or 2 every week and I don't drive all that much. There's even another F30 owner on my street I just saw this morning.

As much as I love BMW, I think they made a good call. The Model S is epic for so many reasons. I applaud tesla for what they are trying to do and they have built a great and potentially game changing product.
FWIW MT isn't the only car publication raving about the S, they are pretty much all singing its praise. |
