Joe Montana was selected in the third round. There was concern about his physicality. Tom Brady was selected 199th in 2000, he fell that low because they had concerns about his stamina because he was sharing duties with Drew Henson. Brady missed zero games in his career until his knee injury in the first game of the 2008 season.

Montana + Brady = 1 gazillion SB, Hall of Fame.

Colt McCoy is going to be fine. The only one crying is his agent because he loses big money. If he was selected 10th he would have gotten $22M in guaranteed money. At #85 he'll get about $2.5M.

Football is a team sport. Cleveland was wise to beef up their O-line and then get McCoy. The best quarterback don't do shit behind a bad O-line. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the two quartebacks who get sacked the least year after year and they are the best. Coincidenc, I thin not.

Just because Tom Brady and Peyton Manning never get sacked is not because they are behind the best O-lines. They both take their drops and by the time they hit their last step the ball is out. Even behind a bad line they would have success. There ability to see the field and make quick decisions keep them from getting sacked.

Watch a guy like Roethlisberger who plays behind a pretty good O-line and gets sacked more than anyone in the league. He holds the ball too long and getting sacked is often his fault not the lines.

i've never met an individual who wins at betting football...you lose more than you win, in the end, bookie always win...alright we'll see about this season...i bet on everything, right now not doing so bad in NBA playoffs

Are you in a tourist industry where the value of the team directly affects your income?

Wrong. Two years ago I walked with $18,000 after starting the beginning of the season with $500. I was up to $22k, but lost 4 and decided to walk before it could get worse. Given, you win and lose, and there without doubt was a tremendous amount of luck involved, but it can happen. I think what you say is right though if someone tries to make an entire income off of it consistently. If you cant decide when to walk, you will lose. And all in all the odds are against you. Your luck can only last so long.

Being a fan of sports has nothing to do with your income (other than you spend income on tickets etc)

I love sports, but still have perspective on the real world and what matters. To me sports is just a very entertaining distraction from "the grind" so to speak. I never understood fans who like cry and shit when their team loses a big game...I highly doubt they are as compassionate in much more deserving situations. Do they cry every time an American soldier is killed?
