Not enough of an evolution IMO. The front bumper looks terrible, but I'm sure it won't look like that...
The kidney grills and head lights do look pretty cool, very much like the F10.

Don't like the front ends of the new models BMW is coming out with, especially the new front bumpers. (Looks like a "shark face" to me, with receding "jaw")
However, perhaps M-sport bumpers will be its saving grace... Otherwise, rest is great.

This is definitely one of the better rendering predictions going around. I agree that big wide kidney grills shouldn't be on a 3 series. For me this is an improvement on the e90 especially the rear end.

BMW's designer said they're going for a fluidic, glide through water looks with their car...no more solid angled lines. (THat adrian von hoodyonk guy) It will prob look similar to the rendering at the start of this thread; wish my e90 looked like this. I like the shark nose look....looks better the the cow/puppy dog look of the 3 series...shark is aggressive, i like that. |

Looks to me like a small 5 series. why cant bmw go back to their old style like the E46 just without so many squared lines, update it alittle. they are killing BMWs style. doesnt even look like a BMW anymore.

Seems like a lot of people think this is what it will be.....lol. AutomotorUndsport has had some decent renderings in the past (witness the F10-they were VERY close on that) but bungled others (the F01 was waaaaay off). I think this may capture the general "feel" of how it will look but the detail is off by a decent margin and we all know that a simple turn of a lights' design or angle of a fender by as much as just a couple of degrees can make a world of difference in how a car looks. The F30 is not due out until roughly summer of 12' so we are looking at about another year until we get a real solid guess as to what it will really be. ![]() |

i know its only a render but im talking about BMWs style in general. they are going too luxury and not enough sport. i miss the E46's and the 5 series before this current one, even the 7.

The rear is bad ass, I don't like the front with the big 'mouth' running accross the lower grill.
