Hi Shawn - pardon my ignorance - why do I need a VIN with 614 and 615 - cant I just copy all the options mentioned in your post and VO code it to make it work.

Because you car does not have factory 614.

You can try it though, and see if it works.

I have 6NH and Prof Navigation. To add BmW Live and Internet, do I need to do the following :-

VO code 614, 615, 6AL and then VO code hu_cic and cmb_media in the same way we code from 6NK to 6NK? Anything else I need to do?

You mean change 6NH to 6NK? I would definitely try this first. If it doesn't work, then add the ghost vin as shawn suggested.

BTW, after you complete your coding, it is NORMAL to see the option in your idrive and it won't work... something along the line "homepage not available". Leave the car alone overnight or a couple of hours and try again. This is normal behaviour for ALL CARS that i've activated bmw live so far. But immediately after coding you should see the option appearing under BMW Services.

Yes, it may or may not work. It all depends on the car's options and ECU CAFD's and if it needs one from the newer version or not. 48.2 is the safe bet, and 48.1 is a crap shoot.

No...add BMW Live and Internet the same way as we 6NH is converted to 6NK

I'm new to this forum, I got my cable today, already installed e-sys 3.22.5 on my macbook and copy the psdzdata 48.3 files; my 2013 328i Xdrive will be delivered tomorrow.
What else I need to start coding?

I would strongly recommend that you learn what the car does and gain experience with it in its factory state before you start coding.

Me too, though I only coded the temp/pressures displayed in the tpms screen.
From my coding notes: F020-12-11-504 - ISTA/P version 2.45.1 PSdZDa: 48.1

Not sure what other coding options would be 'enabled' going from 48.1 to 48.2.

How do i code it so that my car doesn't check for error in the reverse lights? I put in error free LED reverse light but it flickers when i turn on car and randomly while driving.

Another member told me its the car constantly checking bulbs so it flicks when it check. Said it's possible to code it so it doesn't check.

Is there an option to just code the reverse check only or if code the check off then its for all lights in car?

BMW Live is not working. It says internal error. Any suggestions/solutions. I VO coded 614 and 6AL.

Same problem here, it used to work. I'm wondering if BMW are doing some server-side checks to see if your car can use BMW Live/Online. Mine worked for the first couple of weeks then stopped.

I have the software, a cable from One-Stop, and two computers (I first tried with Win8 using Ethernet via a USB dongle and then with Win7 with a built-in Ethernet jack). Neither computer seems to get a connection to my F30 (built in mid-January). ZGW_Search finds nothing and E-Sys won't enable the VIN connection option. The computers both appear to self-assign IP addresses in the 169 space.

Does anyone have any ideas to help get me started?

Is the cable brand new? Has anyone ever used it to connect successfully?

Do you have all other adapters (WiFi, for example) turned off on the machine?

Also, try disabling your firewall, if you have one installed. I had a similar problem and disabling the firewall fixed it...

All the effort to code 6AL and it does ot work. Is the service down? Any workaround?
