My 2013 335i xDrive sedan has arrived at VPC (Oxnard, CA). The vehicle production started in South Africa on 11/26/12; 3 months from production to VPC arrival.

Very interested in what others have requested from the dealer prior to accepting the vehicle:

- Shipping blocks removed (will check myself)
- Navigation maps updated
- Other software updated
- ASS = "last user setting"; still working on this item with my dealer

Anything else?

Sports settings set to US measurements.

I also asked for no wash and wax. They will swirl the paint. I detail the car myself.

just picked up my new F30 on wed. I had them update the maps. They did give me a hard time saying it takes 8hrs and cost bucks. Also gave me a hard time about setting A.S.S. to last user setting. Something about BMW not wanting to disable an enviro/gas saving feature. After debate and saying, "I guess I'll take a pass on the car then since I can get a hard time at a Kia dealership and not pay 50k+ for the car". They then called back and said hey no problem got it all taken car of for you, maps updated, A.S.S. set to last user and front plate bracket NOT put on.

I requested A.S.S. programmed off

absolutely no exterior detailing. I told them they can blast it with a pressure washer if it is unsightly and drive it up and down the road to blow it off. I told them if i see any sort of swirls or towel marks I will not buy the car. lol.

a y cable for my ipod, because my ipod is old and does not have bluetooth lol.

no adding of any sort of license plate bracket to the front

Yes I did. They did give me a hard time on that request. But I said I was willing to walk if they did not give me something. Gave them the old, this car for me is a nice to have, not a need to have.
