Yes they are, but my target was E36 and E46 and I was more interested in cars that did not make it into production, not future cars. However they are new models that are in the [A-Z][A-Z]\d{5} range.

Got info from BMW Indonesia that 4 series coupe is ready for preorder. They will launch it this Oct and will be start to deliver it on Jan14
The price here is around 90-100k for the lowest spec

Don't know how accurate this is but I just got news from a BMW dealer that the 4-series will begin production July, 2013. Thoughts ?

yup

its called the n55hf. its in the 740, and the 135 coupe and m135 f20 as well

one would assume if they followed the new naming scheme, that we'll get the n55 in the 435i, the n55hf in the m435 if they release it (to replace 335is) and that will be that.

they know they will sell, and its simple. i'm going to figure this simplest explanation is the most likely occams razor and all.

The 4er will launch with the new six cylinder. All be it being the BMW 4er Gran Coupe and BMW X4 Sport Activity Coupe.

That production date is for a prototype/demo/mule car. Not consumer production.

Minor correction - the 135is uses the N55, it is the Z4 35i and 35is models that still use the N54 (in addition to the 335is as you say).

Your conclusion is spot on though; once the models that currently use the N54 go away so too will that engine. The B68 and S55 will be along soon to make people forget all about the N55 though. It won't be missed for long.

Not sure what you mean? You realize that BMW might build dozens of demo/prototype cars, and we may only see/photograph a handful?
