I had listed on Autotrader and Craigslist. Person who bought used Autotrader and actually bought a one way ticket from Colorado to Atlanta and is driving the car back. Everything came together in about 24 hours which was pretty crazy but somehow went smooth.

I am probably going to rent a car for a few days, however, I'd suggest (if you haven't already) you ask your dealer about putting you in a loaner as mine offered to (although they said not for 2 weeks, but I would expect to be in one by the end of the week). Thinking about renting a Kia Rio in the meantime to make my car that much more amazing.

Wow, from Colorado. That's awesome. Yeah, I did mention a loaner but didn't really get a response. I am going to work some things out this week for me to get back and forth to work and then see if they'll give me one for the weekend at minimum. I don't want to have to rent a car if possible, which would cut into the profit from my sale, but I may not have a choice.

CA updated me today and says ship my car is on now expected tomorrow (2/6) in Baltimore. Originally had said 2/4

so, my hopes of having it by this weekend probably squashed unless it speeds thru VPC... at least my dealer is only an hour from baltimore.

Sorry and dang! I was told mine would be at the VPC tomorrow (I am assuming Brunswick). Guess that is not happening.

We'll just have to be a bit more patient I guess!!!

yeah, a little bummed, as it would have timed out perfectly for the weekend had it hit VPC yesterday...but oh well, trying not to think about it..

i hate taking delivery of cars in the evening, so sounds like i need to 'work from home' sometime next week.

Even though I tried not to, your post made me email my CA asking him to give me an update. I have not been able to get the ship name out of him, else I could stop bothering him. I know I am driving him crazy.

I think I am resigned to the fact that I will not take delivery until 2/16 and carless until then.

it may be worth it to ask for a loaner if he had suggested the car was going to be in sooner.... when i ordered my car, my CA said it'd be here within 4 weeks ...i knew that was a stretch, so as part of my deal, had them guarantee a loaner at 6 weeks., i've had it for 2plus weeks now.

My CA is telling me my car is now scheduled to get to port (I'm assuming Brunswick, GA) on Fri. Feb 8th. Looks like I won't be taking delivery until the following weekend.

sounds consistent with mine being bumped from 2/4 to 2/6. (today).

Im going to wait till tmrw to bug my CA. As i dont think sending an email will move the car any faster .

I too am prob looking at mon or tuesday unless they do truck deliveries on Saturday.

That's great! I emailed my CA and asked for a loaner at least through the weekend, but have not heard back yet. Man, it seems like this process is stretching on forever.

Thanks. It's weird because it wasn't a loaner and only had 10 miles on it but I'm not complaining. Hope you get taken care of. Seems like the right thing to do. Tell them we were by our dealers.

well, called the hotline today and it appears my car has made it to Baltimore.
my CA is off today but i'll bug him tmrw to see how long it sits at VPC.

i'd still call it a small miracle if it can get to my dealer by Saturday, though the distance is only maybe 60 miles from Baltimore.

I just got the "against company policy" speil from my CA about giving me a loaner through the weekend while I wait for delivery of my car. Very disappointing to say the least.

That's bad business. Maybe you can tell them it's against your policy to purchase a car from a dealer that doesn't take care of its customers.

Well, the two dealers here in town are both owned by the same person and they are relatively small compared to most I believe. My CA has been very patient with me, so I appreciate that.

Easing the blow... I believe that the new Feb program just announced gives 1K cash incentive when using BMWFS. Along with the 60% residual for Feb (compared to the 58% for the Dec/Jan program I was approved under), and the same MF of .00130, that adds up to about a 1K savings for me.

You able to use that on top of the holiday incentives and loyalty discounts that had been offered? I locked those in and am assuming that this couldn't be used on top of those?

CA emailed me today... Car is arriving at dealer Monday afternoon!!!

I prob wont pick her up till Tues or Weds.

contemplating having the Mperf brakes just put on now, or just driving stock brakes for a bit, then upgrading later...

Wow that is really bad business. I got a loaner from my dealership up here from 4 months. Ordered the car Dec 21st and because he was buying my old car he gave me a loaner until my car gets delivered which wont be till April. I cant believe he wont give you one for the weekend.
